Deadbeat - Michael Martin Lisa
Jones, a beautiful young woman with a Caribbean accent, asks private
investigator, Frank Taylor, to locate her missing brother. Without
officially taking the case, Frank soon finds himself peeling through
layers of fraud, lies and deceit. When Lisa's missing brother turns up
dead in her hotel room, Frank realizes that nothing is as it seems.
Suddenly, several shadowy figures are trying to put Frank in the
hospital. Then Lisa Jones disappears before the police can bring her in
for questioning. That's when Frank discovers that the dead man wasn't
Lisa's brother at all. And when he uncovers the real link between Lisa
and the dead man, he is convinced that she has been set up as well.
